Just when you thought Carnival would suffice the waist-shaking antics of the summer, The Nu-Jazz Festival hits Portobello for its summer outing. Bringing not only a local spirit to the West London streets, this event also opens doors for music lovers, jazz enthusiasts and those who revel in a flurry of open air activities.

Expect a mixture of jazz, soul-jazz, broken beat, afro-beat, afro-jazz, mixed-up with spoken word and poetry readings as well as exhibitions from local artists. So who will appear on the grand stage? Look out for the legendary disco king, Leroy Burgess also playing are s Xanton’, Blacq, Satya Project, Kaidi Tatham, Brazenbunch, Marcina Arnold, Lyric L and plenty more.
