I recently enjoyed a delicious full English breakfast at The Mitre. Beats the local cafe hands down and everything was great quality but with a very flexible menu. So you can mix and match to get your perfect Sunday brunch. Tables were good too - nice and big, so perfect if you fancy chilling out with your Sunday paper.

What's on at The Mitre over Carnival weekend?

The Mitre will be open all day both days complete with outside bar and BBQ.

Cometh the night and it's time to party.

On Sunday the now legendary Sancho Panza boys are hosting alongside Leftside Wobble. Expect party toons, nu disco and a lot of fun! Tickets are £7 in advance from ticketweb or at the bar. Doors open at 6pm.

Monday night ends the weekend in true Carnival style with a heady mix of roots, reggea, ska and rock steady beats courtesy of Rootikal. Selectors on the night will be Chris Peckings, Earl Gateshead, J Star, David Hill and Stuart Patterson. Tickets are £5 in advance and doors open at 5pm.

NICE UP THE DANCE!

NEW MANAGEMENT

The Mitre is now under new management. We have friendly new staff and a lovely new lunch and dinner menu to go with it! Fresh and seasonal food is cooked by a great new team, and the menu is changed daily. The Mitre has a fantastic wine selection and quality real ales. We are planning to do a complete refurb too but that is planned to start after the Notting Hill Carnival. Dont just take our word for it though, please come down soon and see for yourself.

The worst eating experience in and around London. The other reviews below all show how awful the staff are, how innattentive the manager is but the food - lets try to cook the green beans next time? Oh, and the wine cooler doesn't work when they put tepid water in it! A never again experience!
